New digital radio station to debut in Macy鈥檚 mstylelab Junior鈥檚/Young Men鈥檚 departments nationwide on Friday, November 15th
New York, NY 鈥 November 14, 2013 鈥 The marriage of music and fashion has been at the cornerstone of pop culture for decades. On November 15th, Macy鈥檚 and Clear Channel will officially launch , a new digital radio station that captures the spirit of this fusion of culture for a millennial audience. Harnessing the power of Clear Channel Media and Entertainment鈥檚 popular iHeartRadio digital radio service with Macy鈥檚 long-standing fashion and entertainment authority, mstyleradio will be the home of today鈥檚 top hits, fashion expertise and fun experiences. The station, available on iHeartRadio.com and accessible via its mobile app, will also broadcast live in more than 700 Macy鈥檚 mstylelab Junior鈥檚 and Young Men鈥檚 departments nationwide.

鈥淲hat we鈥檙e doing with mstyleradio is both innovative and exciting, and it鈥檚 a great extension of iHeartRadio鈥檚 partnership with Macy鈥檚鈥 said Tom Poleman, President of National Programming Platforms for Clear Channel Media and Entertainment. 鈥淭he blend of Clear Channel鈥檚 music programming expertise and our on-air personalities talking about music, pop culture and fashion make this station the perfect marriage of the Macy鈥檚 and iHeartRadio brands.鈥
At launch, the station will feature live Clear Channel DJ鈥檚 seven days a week, playing established artists, icons and up and coming talent. Three DJ鈥檚 will rotate shifts to provide 15 hours of live coverage per day. Alex, the station鈥檚 fashion muse, a 23-year old currently based at Clear Channel Austin, has a passion for fashion and sports. Valentine, hailing from Miami鈥檚 Y100, will spin a mix of the latest in pop culture and gossip, as well as the nation鈥檚 top hits. Always plugged in to social media from Twitter and Facebook to Instagram, Valentine is the ultimate guy next door. And finally, Nathan Fast rounds out the DJ cast. The wheeler dealer of the group, Nathan worked his way up the ladder tackling several radio gigs from Las Vegas to Idaho and currently Clear Channel San Diego.
Accessed on the iHeartRadio mobile app, iHeartRadio.com and in more than 700 Macy鈥檚 locations, the station can also be embedded through a widget on social media sites. Macy鈥檚 plans to leverage this functionality to increase station awareness, availability and listenership. Macy鈥檚 and Clear Channel will also advertise the station on various digital, social and print platforms at launch and throughout the year.

mstyleradio鈥檚 music format is Contemporary Hit Radio (CHR)/Pop and since Macy鈥檚 owns one-hundred percent of the advertising time on the channel, it also features limited commercials 鈥 approximately two minutes per hour. This commercial air-time will allow Macy鈥檚 to promote nationwide sales and specials, as well as tailor special experiences and contests to the millennial demographic. Macy鈥檚 will also leverage and promote select Clear Channel events and programs such as the iHeartRadio Music Festival and annual Jingle Balls.
Starting November 15th, listeners will have the opportunity to enter to win a trip to the Y100 Jingle Ball in Miami. Fans can enter via iheartradio.com/macys through December 8th.
